The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Modern Dental College & Research Centre, Indore, successfully organized an insightful academic lecture and live demonstration on “AI-Assisted Oral Health Screening with scanO” on 10th July 2026 at the college campus.
The program witnessed an overwhelming response from faculty members, postgraduate students, undergraduate students, and practicing dental professionals. The session highlighted the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in early oral disease detection, preventive dentistry, patient education, and enhanced clinical decision-making.
The keynote session was delivered by Dr. Nidhi Bisani, Product Specialist and Clinical Product Expert, who demonstrated how AI-powered screening technology can support dentists in providing faster, more accurate, and patient-friendly oral health assessments.
The event was held in the gracious presence of Shri Mohit Badlani Ji, Hon’ble Director, Modern Dental College & Research Centre, whose encouragement towards adopting innovative technologies in dental education and patient care inspired the participants. The program was also honored by the presence of Shri Rakesh Singh Dhakare Ji, Administrator, and Shri B. D. Kuber Ji, Registrar, who appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of integrating Artificial Intelligence into modern healthcare education.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Amit Bhardwaj (Dean) and was coordinated by Dr. Rahul Chhajlani, Professor Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Seminar Coordinator . Distinguished members of the institution and the Indian Dental Association, including senior faculty and dignitaries, also graced the occasion.
During the interactive session, participants explored the practical applications of AI in oral cancer screening, preventive dentistry, digital healthcare, and patient awareness. The live demonstration of the scanO platform received enthusiastic appreciation from students and faculty alike.
